Removing Main Server IP from a Reseller in Direct Admin
This process is necessary if you want a reseller account to use an IP address other than your server's default IP when creating new accounts.
Steps to Remove the Main Server IP
- Login to SSH.
- Edit the Direct Admin User configuration file:
Use the following command, replacing "username" with the reseller's username:
nano /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username/ip.list
- Remove the unwanted IP from the configuration file and save your changes.
Return to the reseller's Direct Admin account and navigate to the IP Management section to confirm your changes. The main server IP should no longer be present in the IP list.
Note: Accounts that were under the reseller and still pointed to the default server IP will remain unaffected and will continue using the default server IP.
